Because, I supposed, there are so many movies and television shows set in New York, the city that never sleeps feels strangely familiar even the first time you visit. Okay, at least that’s how it felt to me.
When we hopped in the cab at Laguardia, I didn’t have my seatbelt on yet and we were whipped out into traffic at quite a remarkable speed. Our driver was not at all talkative or friendly (nor was he unfriendly). He drove. Aggressively getting us to our hotel in mid Manhattan in the middle of the afternoon.
Thanks to the technology of my iPhone, we not only took a few photos and posted one of them immediately to Facebook, I also tracked our route on the MAP (and therefore knew that we were going to be cutting through Central Park before we got there) and shot this video to share.
Now I’m sharing.
