Over the weekend, someone with the first name of Bob was posting and tagging old family photos on Facebook. Despite the fact that this is not my family, I couldn’t help but look.
Then, of course, I started thinking that I’d do that too if I had a scanner. (Got a freebie hand-me-down one a year or so ago, but it didn’t work with operating system on either of the computers I use and I couldn’t find it to download. Did you really need this detail?)
I’ve decided that I don’t want you to miss out on my cool family photos just because I’m technologically limited, so I’ll be using my built-in web came to take photos of my photos.
This first one is of my grandma (Melvina Caskey) holding my mom (Lucy). Mom was a few months old, so it’s early Spring of 1930.
This second one is of my grandma (Melvian again) with me and a trailer full of fresh produce form her garden down on the 20 acres in the Ozarks. I was10 years old — it was the summer of 1972.
Isn’t this fun?!
