Baby Jimmy

I took our new printer-scanner contraption on a test drive yesterday. I’d done a test print when installing the print driver. This was a test of the scanner. I was inspired to do so when I ran across this photo in a stash of stuff while doing a bit of reorganizing.

You’ll have to ask my dad what the dog’s name is…and the doll’s (though I doubt he remembers the doll).

My aunts were into hand coloring photographs, so one of them probably did the coloring of this. Photography was rather a different sport in the first half of the 20th Century than it is today. Technology.

His sisters are also the ones who called him Jimmy. I’m not suggesting we revive that custom — but it seemed appropriate for this photo.

Thank you God for Little Jimmy. Ruth, your dad (and mom) played such an important part in Glenda and I’s spiritual formation. Our years at Faith Harmony Baptist in Zionsville were really some of the best.
