Holy Stones

My friend Dorothea and her husband Jim have been somewhere along the coast recently and the photos they’ve posted make me want to find a spot where the ocean, the earth, and the sky meet and spend some of my own time there. These are spaces in which I meet God and–while it’s certainly not the only reason–why I must not wear shoes on the beach.

I’m not making this up. Some of you know.

I snagged this photo from Dorothea’s Facebook page where she shared it and put it in my photo folder just like I would have snatched that stone and put it in my pocket had I found it on the beach. It’s much easier to share this way, though.
