Sad Cats

I’m not sure what it is about cats that captures my attention (and that of so many others), but those crazy felines have a strange power over (some of) us. Cat videos are the most popular thing on the world wide web. And yes, that is a rather sad fact. But that does not take away from the reality that some cat videos are rather quite amusing.

You may  need to be a cat person of some sort to get any real chuckle out of this. I cannot tell. If you are not a cat person and this makes you laugh at all, will you confirm my guess that it will? Thanks.

(For my friends who are parents of young children who lurk over your shoulder when you watch things on YouTube, you should know that there are a number of references to cat scat and they use a variety of verbiage in reference to said scat which you  may or may not use in your homes.)

Now I’m wondering if true cat people — that is, those who love cats and don’t particularly like dogs at all — would like this or not. Hmmm.

More of a dog person here. Yep, chuckled several times. Then made a mental note to share with other family members (most of whom are cat people). This, as you know, is the true measure of effectiveness and impact in today’s world. Getting shared. (I think perhaps it is something akin to becoming real, such as in The Velveteen Rabbit. But I digress…)

Glad you enjoyed this enough to share! As a confirmed dog and cat person, I found this delightful since it reflects my own world-view toward cats.

SO, OK, I am a dog person (not a cat person) – – but I am absolutely “cracking up” over the humor. . . and this guy’s voice – yeah, nicely done. thanks for the laugh!

“Cat videos are the most popular thing on the world wide web.” Really? Have we been out of the US so long that all of a sudden cat videos are the latest rage? One of the advantages of being out of the country (and in a country with poor internet access)… 🙂

What I read was that cat videos were second only to porn on the web. Of course I can’t find the research now — or that declaration. Where they are really popular, though, is in Japan. Or so it appears.

I think Justin whats-his-name is probably more popular than cats. But maybe not all cats combined.
