Is there such a thing as cheap obedience?

Trevor, Sarah, Acacia, and Eliana Schuh. I first met them when they were in Orlando attending the 2-week training for brand new Wycliffe USA missionaries as they begin their journey of developing a team of ministry partners. Something about them stood out in my mind. Well, mine and the minds of a few others in the Offices of the President. Before the 2-week training had ended, the conversations that lead to an invitation to take a second assignment in our office had begun.

I say second because the first assignment is to build that partnership team.

One of the ways I first got to know Sarah and Trevor and their girls was through the blog they set up to tell the story of their journey, a blog they titled Traveling Schuhs. I continue to be a fan and regular reader of their blog.

Yesterday morning there was a notice in my RSS feed indicating that one of them had posted overnight — I soon found that the author had been Sarah. There’s a screen capture of today’s blog posting to the right.

I read it. I cried. I praised God. I wrote to Sarah on her Facebook wall about having read it and about crying. I passed the link on to others. I read it again later in the day and…and here I am, sharing it further.

I could tell you about what Sarah wrote here, but it makes way more sense for you to just go there and read it.

I’d love to hear what you think after you do.
